Once daily, now a weekly posting of found text poems from books in my studio! Selected words on a page of text announce themselves as a poem! Hope you enjoy them! Please visit my other blog, with a daily posting each weekday, at http://www.missouribendstudio.blogspot.com
keep going, you...towards possible exhibit?
ReplyDeleteThese are quite fun....I'll list them in my shop for sale...the first one was listed yesterday! Who knows...could be a fun exhibition! Thanks for liking them!
ReplyDeleteI'M WORKING ON A JOURNAL IN A MOLESKINE AND I CREATED THE BACKGROUND WITH ALL BOOK PAGES FULL OF TEXT - THIS GAVE ME A GREAT IDEA - MIND IF I USE THIS TECHNIQUE TOO
ReplyDeleteCathy...certainly! I surely didn't invent working this way! You should check out Tom Phillips work, a British artist who has done several editions of an altered book using a variation on this in a work called The Humument. I know Brooke Schmidt who has a shop on etsy by that name is also doing some work in a variation of this...more inspiration for you! Thanks for your comment!
ReplyDeleteAhh, I like these - have to do it myself again soon, too (another thing I haven´t done in a long time is pick single words randomly from a book with a knife or such + then arrange them into a poem...
ReplyDeleteGer...glad you are enjoying these and hope you take up the task again yourself...much to discover!
