Perhaps I May Linger (August 14, 2010)

Perhaps I may linger
on the shoulders of the past
seen by none, spare alone,
through the dust
the faint nostalgia
woven only of wisteria
This last word
so many things learned and
still much forgotten
but already I belong to
this parting silence

  1. Thanks for directing me here! These found poems are magical and I look forward to reading them daily. Many years ago, I constructed a sonnet from lines I lifted at random from poems and novels by my favorite authors, spanning all styles, cultures and centuries. Not only did the arrangement fall into place making perfect sense, it said something I had been wanting and needing to say! All the best to you.

  2. Your sonnet sounds wonderful! Isn't it interesting how the poem falls into place and says the very thing you were longing to say, even if you were unaware. Here and also in my art making, I find that I think through my hands...all rather mysterious and delightful. Thanks for your comments!
    My best to you also!
