An Invited Guest!

I am delighted to be able to post a found poem by a guest poet here on Missouri Bend Paper Works.  Gabriella Mirollo is another artist/poet with a wonderful blog, Two Tigers Creations, and a great shop also called Two Tigers Creations on etsy.  Gabriella's beautiful poem can be found below, along with the cut words and phrases in the bowl.  I encourage anyone to become aquainted with Gabriella's beautifully written and insightful blog, as well as her shop, which specializes in photography and textiles. Thanks so much, Gabriella, for contributing this poem!

I could be

           the slick black back

       of a sleepless street

                smelling of rain and smoke

all is calm, but in that calm

whatever it is finds a way

                  in shimmering puddles

      blind fingers reaching,

                        for the world
